Job Requirements of Paraprofessional:
- Provide support to all students in the classroom
- Provide instructional reinforcement under the direction of the classroom teacher for individual students and/or small groups of students
- Monitor students in the classroom and non-classroom settings in the school with daily routine
- Helping children with special needs
- Meet needs of the students
- Supervise and assist individual student in the classroom or in a small group with other students
- Set up learning stations, laboratory and activity centers
- Supervise and assist students in the classroom while teacher is working with other students in small groups
- Helping students with special needs reach full potential
- Assist students during academic enrichment activities
- Creating an orderly classroom environment collaborates with the classroom teacher to provide effective individual and group instruction
- Assist teachers with classwork and the daily care of students with special needs
- Support the teacher's classroom expectations/discipline rules
- Work either one to one, or with a classroom, with students who have disabilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in providing instructional services to Spanish speaking students including some that have disabilities
- Play an important role in the special education classroom and serve as the right-hand to a special education teacher
- Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups of students
- Make a difference in the lives of students
- Assist students and teachers with behavior management, and/or administrative duties
- Assist classroom teachers with instructional, behavior management, and/or administrative duties
Education, Training and Experience:
• Minimum 1 year experience supporting children
• High School Diploma
• Valid CPR/First Aid Certification or willing to complete
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccine (including booster)
• Proof of PPD, if you have a history of positive PPD you must provide a Chest X-Ray
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Pre-employment drug screening
• Criminal background check to include fingerprinting and central registry clearance.
• Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements

U.S. Medical Staffing is seeking a devoted and compassionate Paraprofessional to work in a school setting. The Paraprofessional will work side by side with our clients while providing quality care tailored to our client’s needs.

Shift: Monday- Friday 8am-4pm
Pay Rate: $16.50 per/hr.
Locations: Bensalem, PA

About the Role:
To serve on an individualized basis with a specific student who have special needs. This position supports the teacher throughout all lesson plans. Services include physical, emotional, and mental support to children with special needs.
