Job Requirements of Direct Support Professional (DSP):
What You’ll Do:
- Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide hands on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental.
- Assist with ADLs/IADLs with personal hygiene, activities, outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
- Some lifting and transferring may be required.
- Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
- Cultivating and expanding independent living skills.
- Assisting with development of meaningful and personal relationships
- Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals
Education, Training and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience caregiving
- High School Diploma
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
- DSP Certification
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccine (including booster)
- Proof of PPD, if you have a history of positive PPD you must provide a Chest X-Ray
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Criminal background check to include fingerprinting and central registry clearance
- Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion pertaining to the work environment and maintain all HIPAA requirements

Direct Support Professional (DSP)
U.S. Medical Staffing is seeking a devoted and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one to one support to individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist individuals and families living in their personal home while providing quality care tailored to our client’s needs.

Pay Rate: $15 per hour
Locations: Vienna, VA

About the Role:
As a Direct Support Professional will be responsible for implementing the assigned individual(s) personal care plan, working with the individual and their family to improve socialization, self-help, and communication skills.
